4 PAW-mazing Things Our Pets Teach Us about Gratitude (1)

Ooh la laaa! It’s that time of the year, again! The time when we begin planning our Thanksgiving gatherings and start reflecting on all the things we are grateful for. There are so many things to be thankful for this year, and our pets are one of them! They add so much love and joy to our lives. As we count our blessings this season, let’s also recall the ways our pets have added meaning to our experience of gratitude. Here are 4 PAW-mazing things our pets teach us about gratitude every day!

Unconditional Love

No one in the world will love you more than your fur baby. If you love and care for them, they will reward you with loyalty and unwavering love. Unconditional love is what our pets are known for the most. They look past all our faults and imperfections and love us for who we are. To our pets we are their world, and it’s up to us to fulfill the role of the best friend they deserve to have.

True Companionship

Pets don’t have calendars, so your schedule is their schedule. Whenever you need someone to join your activity or spend time with, you can count on your pet to be the first one there! The more time you spend with your pet, the stronger the bond between you will be. No one will be as devoted to you and your activities as your pet. Even your tedious daily chores will keep your pet interested in being by your side. They will watch as you wash the floors and vacuum the carpets. Whatever you do, they will be your shadow. At the end of the day, when you want to lay on the couch and watch a movie, you can count on your pet to be cuddled up right next to you.

Patience

As the famous saying goes, “Patience is a virtue.” Our pets are masters of this virtue. They have the utmost patience for us and continuously  prove that. You can count on your pets to always be waiting at the door when you’re coming home from work, running errands, or visiting family and friends. Even when you can’t walk them because your day has been busy, they will never hold a grudge against you. They will always be there to cheer you up at the end of each day! In your pet’s eyes even if you make a mistake, like not feeding them on time, they will forgive you and always give you another chance to make up for it.

Appreciation for the Small Things

Pets are happy with simple things. It doesn’t take much to get our pets excited and happy. Just walking through the door is enough to get them running around with joy. Although our fur babies are easy to impress, be sure to treat them to something a little extra special sometimes. It’s a great way to show them some extra love and appreciation. Buying them a treat or spending time with them will make them the happiest. Taking your dogs for walks or giving your kitties fresh catnip toys, along with a strong burst of attention each day, will make them the happiest pets on earth.

These are just 4 PAW-mazing things our pets teach us about gratitude in our day to day lives. Those critters are the ultimate teachers. They bring so much comfort and joy to our lives.
